EOCO boss retires

COP (Rtd) Adu Poku

The head of the Economic and Organized Crime Office, (EOCO), Commissioner of Police resigned, Frank Adu Poku has decently resigned from dynamic help.

He authoritatively resigned today subsequent to serving for a very long time.

Agent Executive Director, Nana Antwi has taken over as the acting Executive Director.

COP (Rtd) Adu Poku, was a fine cop who served in different limits until his retirement in 2017.

He was then designated the Executive Director of EOCO in March 2019 and took over from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Retired Mr K.K. Amoah.

COP Adu-Poku (rtd), brought into the world on June 15, 1957, filled in as the Head of the CID from 2007 to 2009.

Prior to his retirement, he was the Director-General responsible for Services in the Ghana Police Service, where he served from 2016 to 2017.

In 2013, he was the Director-General, Technical.

From April 2003 to October 2005, he was the Commander of the Very Important People’s Protection Unit of the Police Service at the Christianborg Castle, Osu, Accra, after which he later filled in as the Ashanti Regional Police Commander from April 2005 to October 2007.

He additionally filled in as an individual from the Judicial Council of Ghana from 1993 to 1998 and was an individual from the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) from 2007 to 2009.

COP Adu-Poku is an attorney by calling and individual from the Ghana Bar Association (GBA).

When reached by the media, COP (Rtd) Adu Poku whose rule at EOCO prompted the capture of certain specialists engaged with infant collecting organization and the recovery of four youngsters, said he planned to deal with his law office as a legal advisor.
