A man has been left devastated after discovering his pregnant wife having sexual relations with a 24-year-old man in a hospital in Uganda’s Apac District.
It was learned that the wife, who was very pregnant, had malaria, had been admitted for five days, and that her husband had found her with her pants down and walked in on her.
Mr. Alex Okuta, the woman’s husband, decided to check on his wife and caught them in the act. They were reportedly having an intimate session when her “lover” visited the female ward of the Apac Hospital.
Mr. David Wills Ndaula, commander of the Apac District Police, confirmed the incident on January 12, 2023, stating that the man who was discovered with Okuta’s wife was charged with constituting a public nuisance.
The Daily Monitor was informed by Ndaula that the police have begun an investigation into the matter.
He stated, “We have preferred charges of causing public nuisance against the suspect, but we are still investigating and will update you at an appropriate time,”
However, Mr. Joseph Onuk, the administrator of Apac Hospital, blamed the husband for leaving his pregnant wife at the hospital for days without checking on her, claiming that the situation could have been avoided.
“I put the blame on the husband of this woman. How can you send your wife to the hospital and you take long without checking on her? Some men always say that they are so busy. Somebody who is not busy will take away your wife.” he said.
The husband of the woman, who lives in Abwal Village in the Chegere Sub-county of the Apac District, confirmed that his ill wife had an affair with him.
“I made a surprise visit to the hospital to check on my wife then I found that man in bed with my pregnant wife,” he narrated.
