Man allegedly hangs himself to death in Tinkong, Akuapem North

A mason believed to be in his 40th’s has allegedly hanged himself to death at Tinkong within the Akuapem North municipality of the Eastern Region.

The deceased, Bismark Tetteh Donkor, also known as Odo Kwaku, was found hanging on a citrus lemon tree at the outskirts the community at around 5:00pm Tues.

He was saw into by some kids, who were attending to swim in a near-by stream.

The father of 5 has been battling with what’s believed to be stroke for the past months.

Eye witnesses say he has been receiving treatment in Koforidua however he left the care giver’s house to Tinkong unexpectedly.

A sachet of alcohol was found in his pocket.

Suicide Tinkong

Police were around for examination and made arrangements to take the body away.

This is said to be the 2nd case of suicide in a month at the Tinkong community.

Residents have, therefore, been thrown into a state of fear by the most recent incident.
