In Bayelsa, a man allegedly kills his 22-year-old girlfriend by beating her to death. Arepamowei Koru is from the Ogobiri Community in the Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa.
Prior to Tuesday’s tragic incident, the two lovers were said to be living together in the community.
According to community members, the two friends had been living together for some time without having any obvious disagreements before their minor disagreement on Tuesday resulted in a fight.
They say that the man may have struck her hard and killed her with blood.
The elder sister of the deceased held the offender before alerting the police at Amassoma Division, who apprehended him, according to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.
She had been rushed to the Federal Medical Center in Yenagoa by her deceased father, Mr. ServeGod Angolo, but she passed away before they could get there.
SP Asinim Butswat, a police spokesman in Bayelsa, confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect has been taken into custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
