Methodist church turns down GES directive to allow Muslim students to fast

The Methodist Church Ghana has dimissed an order by the Ghana Education Service’ (GES) gave to the Wesley Girls’ Secondary School to permit Muslim student to fast and pray during the Ramadan. The church in an explanation said they take a “solid special case” to the order. The assertion focused on that it “can’t agree to the one-sided mandate gave by the Ghana Education Service”

The Muslim Council in Parliament additionally met with the authorities of Wesley Girls’ Secondary School over their worries. The Education minister , Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum had met with the Leading group of Wesley Girls ‘ Secondary School and encouraged the GES to set up measures to address the worries of Muslim understudies.
