My Father Was A Shoemaker Obaapa Christy Tells Story Of Her Humble Beginning

Ghanaian gospel musician, Obaapa Christy in an interview on Friday, told the story of her humble beginning to inspire all who are looking up to her.

She told Nana Romeo of Accra FM that even though she is quite comfortable in life now, things have not been like this. According to her, she used to sell a lot of second hand clothes after school just because things were not that good financially at home.

She disclosed that her biological father was an ordinary cobbler popularly known as shoemaker in Ghana. Her mother on the other hand, was not venturing into the sales of anything as she struggles to lay her hands on profitable stuffs to do in her quest to support the needs of the family.

She however added that, despite all these financial hindrances her family heavily depended on God so that He would change the story of the family to grace and glory and truly to their faith in the Lord God, the end has been glorious even though people tagged them with all sorts of names in town but that could not deter them from giving their hearts to God.

She further revealed that she is a daughter of a proud shoemaker because, there is no shame in telling the world your little beginning.
