Oliver Barker Vormawor Finally Goes Home

The member of parliament for North Tongu constituency, honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa today had a rare opportunity to meet vociferous fix the country convenor, Mawuse Oliver Barker Vormawor at a festival grounds.

The fighter joined Okudzeto Ablakwa in celebrating the Afenorto festival in the Mepe traditional area after wandering around the world for many years.

Afenorto Festival meaning “Period of Rest at Home” Festival – is the traditional festival of the Chiefs and people of Mepe Traditional Area. It is celebrated annually to renew the sense of oneness of the people. It thus provides a unique opportunity for reunions, particularly bondage with the extended family and ancestors.

Meeting with Oliver Barker Vormawor, Samuel Okudzeto shared his joy by hugging him and praising him for finally showing up after many years.

He wrote: “It was such a delight to welcome home North Tongu’s famous prodigal son at Saturday’s Mepe Afenorto Festival.

No patriot can contest the fact that Ghana needs fixing, even though we may differ on some methodologies.

My brother, Mawuse Oliver Barker-Vormawor, stay strong and never give up on Ghana”
