There have been a lot of interpretations as to what the outcome of famous Nigerian actor, Pope Obumneme Odowondo, is, regarding his boat accident after returning from a movie shoot titled ‘The Other Side Of Life”, produced by Adanma Luke.
While much can’t be confirmed about Junior Pope’s current condition, some reports have circulated that he was confirmed alive upon reaching the morgue, and was referred to a shrine for some ritual observations.
Other reports from Linda Ikeji, a Nigerian blogger, have it that the father of three boys was captured on video, being carried to a hospital by a crowd — with some saying that he is still breathing.
However, before the unfortunate boat accident, Pope recorded a snippet of himself lamenting on a boat with other crew members, whiles saying “na only me them born, I get three children, abi you go raise them?”
He, later, captioned the post “See me lamenting. The risk we take to entertain you; crossing the River 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…na wahooooo….who does that!”.
People are,still, praying for his safety as the actual state of affairs has not been made certain till now.
There is an ongoing search for the bodies of the other crew members; an alleged ban has been placed on Adanna, the producer working with Pope from continuing with her movie shoot, according to the Nigerian Actors’ Guild.
