Halima Cissé, an incredible young mother from Mali, has broken the Guinness World Record after giving birth to nine healthy babies at once!
As if bringing one child into the world wasn’t impressive enough, Halima welcomed five girls and four boys into the world on May 4, 2021, alongside her loving husband, Abdelkader Arby.
The Guinness World Record authorities revealed that doctors initially expected Halima to deliver seven babies, but they were astounded when they detected two additional babies during her specialist care at the Ain Borja Clinic in Morocco.
After being delivered prematurely via a caesarean section in the 30th week of pregnancy, the babies – named Adama, Oumou, Hawa, Kadidia, Fatouma, Oumar, Elhadji, Bah, and Mohammed VI – are all healthy and settling into their lives with their parents in Mali.
The Malian government even went above and beyond by covering Halima’s medical costs and making sure she received the best specialized care in Morocco.
Abdelkader Arby, the proud father of the world’s first-known nonuplets, has made it clear that caring for nine newborns, in addition to their 3-year-old sister, is no easy feat. But what’s even more remarkable is the fact that Halima Cissé, their mother, defied all odds and managed to carry and deliver all nine babies safely.
The news of Halima’s extraordinary delivery has stunned people worldwide, with many showering the family with love and admiration.
As per the Guinness World Record, this miraculous feat has etched Halima’s name in history books, making her the only woman to give birth to nine babies at once.
We wish Halima, Abdelkader, and their beautiful new family all the best for their future together!
