Ghanaian radio presenter and reggae musician, Blakk Rasta who was ordained as a minister of God’s gospel in October 2022 after completing Bible School has made it known that in his music career as a Reggae musician, he has never smoked weed or cigarettes.
Even though he is a pastor and an evangelist, some people still don’t believe in his calling. However, Blakk says that he knows a lot about the Bible.
The radio host, who recently engaged in conversation with singer Efya and broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah regarding his “harsh” criticisms of Sarkodie’s feature with Bob Marley, clarified the situation in an interview with Zionfelix.
“I am a pastor and a genuine one at that. Do you understand that I am a pastor and an evangelist? That is what I do: I teach. Before I went to Bible school, I had read the entire Bible 20 times in a row—we used it as an argumentative tool in school.
In addition, Blakk Rasta stated that he has never smoked cigarettes or marijuana in his entire life. He asserts that a genuine rastaman is versed in the scriptures.
“Any true rastaman is familiar with the Bible; I have never smoked and do not smoke.” I have never used bonto or cigarettes. In the February 2023 GhanaWeb-recorded interview, he stated, “I don’t eat meat and I don’t eat anything with eyes.”
