Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, during the 66th Independence day celebration in the twin City of Sekondi Takoradi, dumped his V8 and other fleet of luxury vehicles and inspected the guard of honour and the various procession in a made-in Takoradi vehicle.
The Regional Minister who doubles as the member of parliament for Takoradi constituency entered the Independence Day Celebrations grounds at Gyandu Park, Sekondi with vehicles made by a local manufacturer from Sekondi known as Inventor 1.
Although the reason for the Regional Ministers’ participation in the ceremony is unknown, some observers praised him and stated that his actions will undoubtedly encourage the inventor to use Ghanaian-made products.
The well-known Sekondi Gyendu Park served as the location for the Western Region anniversary celebrations.
Schoolchildren and personnel from various regional security agencies were present.
