A passionate Kenyan woman has recently voiced her dismay at what she sees as the incessant persecution of Nigerian men by Kenya’s police force and government.
She reveals that she is married to a Nigerian man and has several friends who are currently pregnant with Nigerian men’s children.
Unfortunately, due to the frequent arrests and deportations of these men, these women struggle to maintain stable relationships. This situation has resulted in Nigerian children growing up fatherless in Kenya despite their fathers’ willingness to provide for and care for them.
In addition, the woman also bemoans the decline in the “ashewo” business, given that Kenya’s government is cracking down on Nigerian men who were known for their generous spending on their partners.
According to her, since the Coronavirus pandemic began, the Ashewo business in Kenya has seen a decline, yet the police are using this as an excuse to exploit and escalate profiling of African men.
While the Ashewo business in Kenya is not new, the lady believes that the pandemic has made matters even worse for African men who are trying to make an honest living in the country.”
