A fifty seven year old American Widow, Laura Kowel, is reported to have died through drowning, after being scammed by a Ghanaian man who posed as Frank Borg, the Chilean medical Doctor, the sum of $1.5 million.
In a latest report by @eddie_writ on Twitter, now X, revealed that, the bereaved person allegedly committed the act of suicide by drowning herself in a pool after she was being scammed the said amount by the Ghanaian man.
According to the late Laura’s assertion in a video before his demise, she had met the imposter, “Frank” on an online dating site who pretended to be the popular Chilean Doctor, Frank Borg.
Following investigations by the Federal agents, it was discovered that, the said fraudster was not the Frank Borg Laura earlier thought, rather it was the photos of the Chilean Doctor, that he (the fraudster) used to deceive the victim, with all his E-mails traceable to Ghana.
In a further narratives by the reporter on X, the late Laura before her death left a note which read, “I have been engaged in a double sensual lifestyle all these passed years, which has miserably rendered me financially bankrupt. And this involves the imposter “Frank”, whom I met on an online dating site.
I tried to put a stop to this illicit lifestyle, but the more I did the more I failed, as though I would die in an attempt to avoid him. And my failure to take a bolt step however resulted in this great mess I attracted for myself.”
