Hajia Police, a Ghanaian Islamic singer who was born Sa-ada Muhammed, has released a new song titled “Al Wakat Ramadan” to kick off the month of fasting that began on March 22, 2023. Unmarried Muslims should avoid having sex during Ramadan.
“We don’t often go to listen to the preachings of the Imam so I brought this Ramadan song that no matter where you are you can listen and be reminded that is the time of the year for Ramadan,” she told Amansan Krakye the host.
She added “You have to do it because Ramadan it’s a time for forgiveness, a month of prayers and a month of peace to settle issues amicably with those you are at loggerheads with.
Talking about the holy month of Ramadan on Cape Coast-based Property FM, the Police Officer said Muslims who are not married should abstain from sex during the month of Ramadan.
“Religiously Ramadan is something that Allah Himself brought so that at least every year we have one month that we set aside all the food at our disposal in order to observe fasting and prayer,” she remarked.
“It is true that at your own time, you can do your own fasting and prayer to Allah without any hindrance which is also good but religiously in Islam we have what is termed as the Five Pillars of Islam,” she continued on Showbiz on Property.
“So if you claim to be a true Muslim then you should be governed by these Five Pillars of Islam no matter what you do and one of the pillars is doing fasting in the month of Ramadan.
“In the month of Ramadan if you know you are not married don’t go and have sex so you need to abstain from romance and it’s part of the rules which you need to avoid it,” she said.
