Indefatigable sportscaster, Stephen Kwame Yeboah popularly known as ‘KY’ has joined Atinka Media Village subsidiary in Takoradi Ahoto FM.
The experienced sports journalist has joined Ahoto 102.3 FM after almost two years of leaving the airwaves following the shutdown of Sekondi-based Radio Silver by the National Communications Authority.
His move comes after weeks of an intensive negotiations with the management of the radio station, Kyfilla.com understands.
Known as one of the sportscasters in the Western Region with the best of creativity, entertaining and his informative style of presentation, Kwame Yeboah is expected to thrill the listeners of Ahoto 102.3 FM and also garnered more listeners for the station.
Confirming this, Stephen Kwame Yeboah in a letter sighted by Kyfilla.com wrote that, “It’s been two years since I have been off radio, but as the word of God says in lsaiah 60:22 ‘ When the time is right, l, the LORD will make it happen’ , it is now official my new home is Ahoto 102.3FM in Takoradi, a subsidiary of Atinka Media Village in Accra…. The only ‘KY’ is back with his team on Ahoto Sports….Thank you..”
Kyfilla.com can confidently disclose that Stephen Kwame Yeboah has joined Ahoto FM as the head of the sports department with two other top-notch sportscasters also on the verge of joining.
Even though the date to commence programme at Ahoto FM has not been revealed, the all-new sports show of the station will be between the hours of 9am-11am and 1pm-2pm for the weekdays and 3pm-6pm on weekends
Stephen Kwame Yeboah is the Chief Executive Officer of KY Media Consult LTD ; the operators of online news portal www.kyfilla.com and KY Sports Management, a sports management firm in Takoradi.
He has over seventeen years of experience as a broadcaster, having worked with Media houses like Kyzz FM, Skyy Power FM/Starr TV and Radio Silver, all in Sekondi/Takoradi.
Kwame Yeboah is a graduate from the Takoradi Technical University with a Bachelor of Technology degree in lndustrial Art and currently offering his Masters degree in MSc. Management and Human Resource Strategy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST), Kumasi and also Master of Business Administration(MBA) in Marketing Management(online) at Dr. D.Y.Patil Vidyapeth University, Pune, lndia.
Kwame Yeboah affectionately called KY, served as Media Relations Officer for then Division two League side Rospak SC and was part of the Publicity Committee for Medeama Sporting Club in their maiden CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
He has covered major FIFA and CAF tournaments including the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt with also alot of knowledge in Ghana Football.
He is very respectful and considered as a role model for many up and coming sportscasters in the Western Region.
Kwame Yeboah is also the vice chairman of the Western Regional Football Association media committee as well as the Organizer for the Sports Writers Association of Ghana(SWAG)- Western/Western North Region.
