Ghanaian highlife artiste Kumi Guitar says Ghanaian hiplife artiste Virgin Pozo threatened to shoot him and his manager over copyright issues.
Speaking in an interview with Accra based radio 3Fm Kumi Guitar revealed that, Virgin Pozo called his manger Skinny Willis that his artiste has stolen his lyrics “Boo N3 d3” .
Virgin Pozo, the composer of Ghana’s most popular song “Boo N3 D3” in the year 2002 says Zylofon music signee Kumi Guitar has stolen his lines without informing him.
Virgin Pozo in an audio sent a strong warning to Kumi Guitar and his manager.
He said:
, “Tell Kumi Guitar, That I will shoot him as a lesson for the Ghanaian industry. You can not use someone property for free. I have informed Sammy Flex that I am going to shoot that guy. I will shoot you in Ghana. And if I do not get you here, I will get you in the Uk. From Today, I will pay money to people to shoot this guy.”
The “Dream” crooner agitated that, even if he has taken his lines in his music, threatening him and his manager is not the way to deal with the issue.
He again added that, there are copyright laws and court which are built to handle issues like such. Killing him and his manager over a line stolen is criminal.
