Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Saudi Arabia and head back to Europe, claims Al Nassr’s head coach.
Earlier this season, the Portuguese captain left Manchester United and signed a two-year deal with the Saudi Pro League. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner may still play once his current contract expires, when he will be 40 years old, according to Rudi Garcia.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition, as he helps to disperse defenders,” Rudi Garcia said. “He is one of the best players in the world. He will not finish his career at Al Nassr, he will return to Europe.”
Ronaldo has yet to score for his new club, failing to find the back of the net in either his league debut against Al Ettifaq or Al Nassr’s Saudi Super Cup exit to Al Ittihad.
With United, Ronaldo won three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup. He went on to win two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, four Champions League titles, and three Club World Cups with Real Madrid before joining Juventus and winning two Serie A titles and a Copa Italia trophy in three years.
Ronaldo, who has over 800 senior goals for club and country, will be looking to get on the scoresheet for new club Al Nassr in their next league game at Al Fateh on February 3.
