Renowned musician Davido has shared a personal anecdote about his early days in the music industry. In an interview with ABTalks, the hitmaker disclosed that he faced challenges securing financial support from his father, the wealthy businessman Adedeji Adeleke.
As a result, the determined artist took bold steps to fund his passion, including breaking into his father’s Atlanta home in the USA to sell several TVs and even contemplating selling his dad’s luxurious Rolls Royce! At the time, Davido had expressed his desire to move back to Nigeria, but his father had refused to support his music dreams.
This motivated the young artist to take matters into his own hands, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to achieving his goals.
As an aspiring musician, Obo was determined to find a way to achieve his dreams. He was met with opposition from his father and found himself at a crossroads. In the end, he chose the path less traveled and sold off all the TVs in his father’s house, as well as his furniture.
