I will score against Kotoko today – Amos Frimpong Former Asante Kotoko skipper
Amos Frimpong Former Asante Kotoko skipper has stated he and his current teammates at Techiman Eleven Wonders are poised and ready to battle it out with his former club as the second phase of the ongoing season resumes.
Techiman Eleven Wonders will host the ‘Kum Apem’ boys this afternoon at the Ohene Ameyaw Akumfi Park in match-week 18 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The experience lateral returned into the Ghanaian topflight to sign for Eleven Wonders in the just closed transfer window having ended his short term spell with Guinean outfit Kaloum Stars, a club he switched to after leaving Kotoko in 2019.
Amos Frimpong will today be facing the club where he had the spotlight and recognition, winning the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup during his spell with them and also spent almost a decade since joining in 2011 from B. A United.
The 29 year old in an interview with Gye Nyame FM in Kumasi, has disclosed they are ever ready for the game against Kotoko and has vowed to score against his former club. He said;
“We are very ready for Asante Kotoko, each player is adhering to the coaches instructions.”
“Most of my fans are Asante Kotoko supporters and I’m pleading on them to at least support me because we need the points than they do. Even though they are Kotoko fans, they should support me for just today and resume their support for Kotoko afterwards.”
”I will definitely score a goal tomorrow but I will raise my hands in forgiveness and decline any form of celebration”, he concluded.
