Francis Tetteh, a former National Science and Maths Quiz contestant who represented his school, Chemu Senior High School in the competition has sadly passed away in Toronto.
Mr. Tetteh, according to reports, died on Saturday, April 10, 2021, aged 27 after a year-long battle with cancer.
The best graduating student from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology completed his Bachelor of Science degree with First Class (Honours) in Materials Science and Engineering.

Francis moved to Canada in 2018 and was studying for his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at York University.
Francis successfully passed his qualifying examination, authored research papers, and fulfilled his Teaching Assistantship duties when he was diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment.
A memorial service was held in his honour over the weekend.

His friends remember him as easy-going and his unflinching desire to help others in need.
