Popular radio host Captain Smart says he is unperturbed about what is happening around him, demanding he can’t be cowed into quietness.

He was talking on Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV on Thursday, May 6 after the discussion encompassing his clear suspension from Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN).

The Director of Operations of ABN said he was approached to quit introducing his show mid-route on Thursday morning after a call from proprietor Dr Kwaku Oteng.

They asserted, as he portrayed, that he was in effect too hard on the government to the degree of utilizing unprintable words for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen.

“Any day, any time, if there is any nonsense going on in this country, I will rise and talk,” he declared.

Once more, he said the administration had griped of calls from specific quarters including the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to Dr Oteng over remarks ascribed to him on Angel FM’s morning show.

Captain Smart, whose real name, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, is required to resume work on Friday, June 4.

He focused: “I will keep shouting, I will keep pointing the mistakes. If you are a politician, it is your responsibility to either like me or hate me because you don’t feed me and until we begin to do that, we can never ever save this country,” he insisted.

His suspension is viewed as an attack against media opportunity in the country, fuelling impression of culture of silence.
