A man who claims to be Jesus Christ has turned water into tea in a viral video.
Mwalimu Yesu wa Thangole, a Bungoma man who claims to be the “real Jesus,” has spoken about his life and the miracles he has performed.
Because of the miracles he performs, Mwalimu Yesu wa Thangole has attracted a large number of followers and claims to be the genuine savior, Jesus.
Mwalimu Yesu asserts that he has a divine mission on earth and that God gave him the name and some instructions to spread the gospel worldwide.
According to Mwalimu Yesu, he has a divine mission and the name was given to him by God along with some instructions to spread the gospel across the globe.
“I am Jesus Christ. Many ask if I am the real Christ, and I affirm to them that I am…Jesus is not for one country, but he is for the whole world,” he asserted in a recent interview.
Just like Jesus did in the Bible, Mwalimu Yesu has chosen twelve disciples for himself.
Mwalimu Yesu, in contrast to Jesus in the Bible, who never married, is married and has eight children. He uses Revelations 21:9 to support his marital status.
The verse reads: “And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, ‘Come here, I will show you the Lamb’s wife”.
When he reads the Bible, his followers always kneel to worship Mwalimu Yesu and don robes that cover them from head to toe.
Mwalimu Yesu, according to his followers, has performed more “miracles” than the Jewish Jesus.
The self-described Christ asserts that the scriptures’ reference to the “Lamb’s wife” gives him permission to marry and have children.
Worship at his church is procedural with two different services every Sunday.
The congregants first have to go through a church made of mud with two doors and a window where they remove their shoes and repent before proceeding to the second church, named the holy of holies.
