The popular actress Mercy Johnson’s husband has won a seat in the Edo State House of Representatives.
In the ongoing Nigerian elections in 2023, the husband of Mercy Johnson has won the seat in the Esan South-East/Esan North-East Federal Constituency (Edo State) House of Representatives.
With 21,764 votes, Prince Odianosen Okojie, who ran for office on the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket, prevailed.
He defeated the PDP candidate with a score of 10,007 and the Labour Party candidate with a score of 11,528.
Mr. Okojie was captured in a video, surrounded by his supporters, celebrating his success following the announcement of the results.
