Messi wife supermarket robbed

A chilling message was left for Lionel Messi by gunmen after they attacked a supermarket in Argentina owned by the family of his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo.

In Messi’s hometown of Rosario, one of two men on a motorcycle was caught on camera approaching the building and firing repeatedly at the metal shutters covering the windows and front door. At the supermarket, more than half a dozen shots were fired.

Additionally, the attackers left behind a handwritten note at the scene that read: “Messi. We are waiting for you. Javkin is a narco. He’s not going to look after you.” Local reports said football hooligans known in Argentina as barrabravas could be behind the attack.

The message suggested that criminals might be attempting to extort money from the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, according to a local television station that reported on the attack.

The supermarket, which is known as Supermercado Unico, is said to be run by one of Antonela’s cousins and belonged to her family. Following the gun attack at around 2 a.m. on Thursday, it is expected to remain closed.

On the outskirts of Rosario, Messi owns “The Fortress,” a huge mansion. The enormous property, which was constructed on three adjacent plots of land in a gated private estate, features a massive cinema, a gym, and an underground garage that can accommodate 15 cars.

In June 2017, he wed Antonela in a lavish ceremony at Rosario’s City Centre Hotel and Casino. Sergio Aguero, a former Manchester City striker, and Xavi, the manager of Barcelona, were among the guests.
