There is the saying that goes as; the wheel of justice grinds slowly where another counters it by saying: justice delayed, is justice denied.
Such expressions could be the understanding of the family members of the first year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, who was severely raped under the duress by some alleged gangsters who have some kind of closed ties with other students in the school.
The matter involving the first year student happened some few weeks earlier where she lodged a formal complaints to the school authorities that, she was sexually molested and violated embarrassingly during which six strong students she perceived to be members of the students body, pounced on her in the process and sexually abused and desecrated her private parts on several instances.
As the case of rape has been reported against the individuals who were alleged to have hands in the act to the police officers at the Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti region, they have thoroughly investigated the whole incident and were able to capture six individuals gangs who have been rumoured to be the ones who intentionally violated embarrassingly, the privacy of the young first year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST in the Ashanti region.
Even though the matter is still under a careful investigations to search for more accomplices in the case if any, the district court in the region, Asokore Mampong District Court, has therefore adjoined the rape case to enable investigators furnish the court with more substantial and incontestable facts and undeniable evidences contained in their findings against the personalities of those who have been alleged to be the brain behind such illicit activities against that teenage girl.
Kumasi and its environs connecting to the campus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has been in the news for all most all the balderdash and egregious records only since lawlessness has reared its ugly heads in the community.
Students of the school themselves have also taken the laws and standing orders of the school as their personal assets because they think that they have grown beyond reproach.
The earlier rape case had it that, certain students in the school conspired with others who are out of the school jurisdiction, sexually abused and desecrated the body parts of the girl during their coercive sexual bouts with her after their countless trials on her to see how best they could satisfy themselves during which the girl in question denied them several times of their intentions and it was then that they have decided, covetedly, planned in unison to as it were, teach her a bitter lesson by forcing her to sleep comfortably with them and if not, she could be killed but though, she could not oblige instantly, the gangs who were on the mission of satisfying their sexual egos, overwhelmed and overpowered her in the process and penetrated her vagina countless with their heavily pointing cucumbers when she was moaning and groaning in the process but there was nobody available to rescue her from the hands of her assailants.
The Asokore Mampong District Court, has therefore, adjoined the rape case to Tuesday, 27th September, 2022 so that, the police officers investigating the matter could conclude their findings totally before the final determination of the case.
