Nathaniel Owusu, a talented vocalist known as Lasmid in the music industry, has commented on his Vodafone Ghana Music Awards nomination (VGMA).
With his Friday Night hit song, Lasmid received three nominations for the 2023 VGMA in the categories of Best New Artist of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, and Best Hiplife Music.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property Radio in Cape Coast prior to the VGMAs, Lasmid stated that receiving several nominations is a significant accomplishment for him.
“I don’t know, but however the VGMAs go, I’ll be alright with it since just as people are saying I deserve an award, maybe I won’t even win,” he said.
“But we are monitoring and looking forward to it so that’s my idea for any of the nominations I got at this year’s VGMAs,” he disclosed as seen by Ghbuzznews.com
He said on Showbiz on Property “If it happens that I win the new artiste of the year that’s fine and if I don’t win we will continue to work hard because getting nominations is even a win for me”.
