Ghanaian Philanthropist, Osei Kufuor has claimed that the Ministry of Health made him redirect free emergency clinic beds he planned to give to Nigeria over import obligations.
The disclosure came after the condition of the wellbeing framework in Ghana was under the spotlight following the demise of 10-year-old Kekeli Kofi Mensah.
Mr. Kufuor said he had the chance to get a stockroom loaded with new medical clinic beds from the USA and give to any medical clinic of his decision which he picked his country.
Nonetheless, the Ministry of Health in Ghana was not prepared to cover the tremendous import obligations that frustrated his kindness.
He stated “I had the chance to get a stockroom loaded with new clinic beds from the USA to give to any medical clinic in Africa. I reached the MoH to mastermind to get the things. I was advised I needed to pay [for] all obligations also. The things have since been shipped off Nigeria and cleared obligation free.”
