Similar to the “Jonestown Massacre” that took place on November 18, 1978, when Jim Jones, the pastor, ordered a mass suicide-murder in which over 900 members perished, the same is currently taking place in Kenya.
Betty, a young Kenyan woman whose passing has sparked a frenzy online, reportedly sold all of her possessions and resigned her job in order to join Pastor Paul Mackenzie’s church.
Before her death, Betty was a hostess for Qatar Airways, but she left the company to join Pastor Mackenzie’s church, the Good News International Church, in Shakahola Forest, Kilifi County. This information has been validated.
The tragic story began when Betty reportedly jetted into Kenya after her son Jason was allegedly forced to fast while she was in Qatar and sadly passed on while he was living with his grandparents at the time.
She apparently came for the burial after hearing the news while at work in Qatar, but she was never found again.
According to her sister, who apparently lives in Umoja, Nairobi, Betty wrote her husband an impassioned letter before she went, hinting that she might not come home again.
She then left with the children and headed to Malindi. A friend had apparently told her that they were going to meet Jesus on the 8th of April, so they had to leave on the 7th.
She tracked Betty’s flight which was only a one-way ticket to Malindi. Unfortunately, she was found dead and buried at Shakahola Forest within Langobaya in Malindi sub-county (Kenya)
According to reports, it is feared that number of dead and buried people could be in the hundreds.
Within the 800 acres where the fasting had taken place, it appears that 7 more dead were discovered in 4 mass graves, and 26 further graves were recognized, bringing the total to 58.
Here are a few photos that were shot prior to her terrible and untimely death.
