The Oil City, Sekondi-Takoradi has always been a city of talents. One would say the almighty has blessed the twin city which has led to the saying “the best comes from the west” however despite the chunk of talents there is in the region, these young acts are still struggling to get to the peak of their music career.
Entertainment critic and music enthusiast Kweku Bee Abrante insists that not only is the system not helping these young acts, they have a lot to do on themselves as they are not willing to trend to gain them some popularity.
This comes after a call to support artists was made by the PRO of Team Move and Western Music Awards, Nana Kwesi Coomson in an article dated on May 13.
Kweku Bee made this known to Feeling Daddy on Empire FM’s entertainment review show ‘Showbiz Today’ ” this regional support we’re calling will be difficult because artists who are in Takoradi do not want to trend” when asked through more light on his submission, he suggested that a serious artist going for interview for promotional purposes must go with a publicist/blogger.
