According to www.seancitygh.net, the prominent radio station Silver 98.3 FM in Kumasi Bantama has been completely damaged by fire.
On March 18, 2023, the station, which was on the bottom floor of the Silvercrest skyscraper, caught fire. The cause of the radio station fire is unknown.
A technician on duty had to jump through the windows to save his life after the fire broke out in the early morning hours while their sports crew was getting ready for a sports show, according to DJ KA, a radio journalist with Silver 98.3 fm.
Images, in the opinion of DJ KA, depict nearly every object, notably electronics, completely destroyed.
The good news is that there was only one significant casualty reported. Given that Kumasi Kejetia Market suffered the similar fate earlier this week due to a fire, it’s really too bad.
