Among the various breakfast options we have in Ghana, bofrot happens to be one of the best.
The Ghanaian bofrot, actually, comes in two types :
— dry /shallow-fried bofrot
— deep fried bofrot
Both are excellent sources of energy, especially, in the mornings, but we will be focusing on the dry bofrot preparation in this article.
Here are our special ingredients :
— bread flour
— all purpose baking flour
— sugar
— salt
— nutmeg powder
— baking yeast
— butter
— 1 egg
— warm milk
— water
— pineapple extract(or any other essences you might wish to add)
Make sure you mix these ingredients throughly till it becomes a well-mixed dough, like you will see in the video below :
