The yearly Eid-ul-Fitr celebration for all Muslims in Ghana fell on Thursday April 11, 2024, yesterday.

It was not just a celebration for only Islam upholders in the nation, but for Muslims all over the world — showcasing an end to the thirty-day fast in the month of Ramadan.

According to additional findings from a news editor with Ghbuzznews.com, the Eid-ul-Fitr fast lasts from break of dawn to noon, after which the Muslim prays for Allah to wash away every bad habit, and breaks the fast afterwards.

A lot of Ghanaian Muslims joined the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheik Dr.Nuhu Osman Sharabutu,to observe the Eid prayers, at the Black Star Square in Accra.

The president of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, and other state dignitaries were in attendance.

Perusing the sermon of the Chief Imam, there was an admonition for all and sundry to uphold healthy habits– he urged the Electoral Commission and other stakeholders to ensure a free and fair election when the time is due.

He, also, entreated all Ghanaians to avoid corruption and eschew homosexuality(LGBTQIA); moving on to urge all youth in the nation to seek knowledge and skills that can fetch them employment so that they can provide for themselves and their families when the need arises.

There was an extra prayer session from the National Chief Imam for all Ghanaians.
