Joyce Johnes Afi Jassika, a 26-year-old lady has been stabbed to death for threatening to divorce her husband Emmanuel Okyere Baffour at Degede, a community of Bibiani in the Western North Region.
Superintendent Seth Serwonu, Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Divisional Crime Officer, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that, the relatives of the deceased reported the death of their beloved to the Crime Office. According to him, the murder occurred within the deceased’s own house.

He said the Police proceeded to the scene and found the deceased in an exceedingly pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.
Police have commenced investigations to trace the whereabouts of the husband, whereas the body has since been deposited at the Bibiani Government Morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, preliminary investigation disclosed that the deceased set to divorce the suspected husband over a myriad of problems however the husband begged her to remain which he had turned a brand new leaf, however, the woman insisted on walking out of the wedding and packed her items and left to her parents.
On Thursday, August 6, 2021, around 12 the husband visited the house of the deceased while her parents weren’t around to attack her with a knife.
Emmanuel, the husband stabbed her five times, covered the body with cloths in the room and left.
