There is a sorrowful news trickling in from some parts of Volta and Eastern regions of Ghana, where a boat carrying market women has capsized on the Volta Lake, drowning dozens on board.
The boat is believed to be travelling from Dzemeni to Havorkope in the Afram Plains enclaves where the tragic incident happened unexpectedly.
Reports have confirmed that, those on board the boat, were market women journeying to Havorkope to ply their respective businesses but upon reaching Todzie, a community laying near Afram Plains North District of the Eastern region, then, a severe windstorm smote the boat on which they were travelling in thereby, causing and maneuvering the boat to sink where countless numbers of precious lives have been lost to the unfortunate scene.
