The Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East in the Western Region, Hon. Frederick Korankye popularly known as K.K. has said the Assembly in collaboration with small-scale miners wants to reclaim all the lands that have been destroyed by illegal miners for new development.
Hon. Frederick Korankye made this comment in a tour at Wasa Dikoto and Wasa Nsuaem in the Municipality to inspect some of the lands and other forest reserves that have been destroyed following illegal mining activities.
According to Hon. Korankye, the Assembly has decided to mobilize all small-scale miners in the municipality to support him to reclaim every land that has been destroyed in the area for new development.
